Events at MESTO
About
MESTO hosts events throughout the week: film screenings, Open DJ Decks, !! MINUTES open mic, art workshops, sketch sessions, talks, brunch discussions, community meetings, music nights, parties and one-off experiments. Some events are made by the MESTO team. Some are collaborations with artists, musicians, teachers, performers and local organizers. You can come for a specific event, or come earlier for food and drinks and stay for whatever is happening that day. Many formats are easy to join even if you come alone.
Regular formats
Open DJ Deck is a format where anyone can sign up for a short set and play music. [Controller: Pioneer XDJ-RR | Sound: JBL SRX-700]
!! MINUTES is our open mic for stand-up, stories, poetry, songs, performance, improv and other stage ideas.
Film screenings take place in the black hall with a great sound system and the option to sit at tables with food or lie on pillows in front of the screen.
Sketch It Easy is our original event where anyone can be an artist and a model. Sketch sessions and art workshops happen in the restaurant, hall or workshop areas, depending on the format.
We also host talks, discussions, brunches, music jams, themed parties and special events with food, drinks, decorations and guest performers.
The space
Events at MESTO can take place in the black hall, restaurant or garden.
We have a small stage area, directional spot light, sound system, microphones, TVs. It works well for talks, screenings, open mics, workshops, performances, small concerts and DJ nights.
The restaurant and bar stay close to the events, so guests can eat, drink, take a break, meet people and continue the evening without moving to another place.
For guests
Check the weekly schedule that's posted on our Instagram every Sunday or displayed on the wall of our café, and choose the format that fits your day.
Some events are free, some are donation-based, and some have a fixed entrance fee. We always mention the conditions in the announcement.
You do not need to know anyone in advance. Come a bit earlier, order something from the bar or kitchen, and join when the event starts.
For organizers
We are open to clear, well-prepared event proposals. If you want to organize something at MESTO, send us the event idea, preferred date and time, language, duration, expected number of guests, technical needs, ticket or donation model, and your Instagram, website or portfolio. We publish the weekly schedule in advance, so please contact us early, by DM in Instagram or Telegram
